Mangaluru: Second day of the novena of St Anthony held

Mangaluru, Feb 7: Second day of the novena of St Anthony was held at Milagres church. Fr Benjamin Pinto the Parish Priest of Immaculate Conception Church Urwa offered the Holy Mass.

In his homily Fr Pinto highlighted the plight of persecuted people. There are people who undergo persecution because of political reasons, others due to communalism and then there are those who suffer due to social discrimination. All these people face unjust situation and are not able to enjoy true peace in life. Since they are weak and trust in the providence of God, God in return stands with them.

Fr Pinto called on the devotees to pray for the people who go through persecution in life. The choir group from St Joseph Church sang devotional hymns. Fr Onil D’Souza the director of the Institutes conducted the novena.
