Konkani Community of Israel holds 'Nathalanso Dhabazo'

Israel, Feb 8: Konkani Community of Israel (KCI) has organized several programmes in Israel during the last five years with the basic intention of service through talents. Several needy people are supported. KCI held 'Natalancho Dabazo' programme in December 2021 to prepare for Christmas and to help the needy.

Fr Dominic Mendonca who led the Holy Mass that day gave away a meaningful homily about how one should live in an organization. In the hall programme that followed, KCI president Pravel D’Costa Katipalla, KCI coordinator Savita D’Souza, Fr Dominic Mendonca, KDCC president Sandeep Fernandes and Israel Galaxy Band master Prakash Fernandes released a Konkani devotional album titled ‘Rai Zalmala’. KCI well-wishers Benna D’ Souza and Alex D’Sa were present. A short programme was held to thank those who supported and others.

Several brethren in Israel gathered and held star competitions and crib competitions later. Similarly children’s dances and adult dances were staged.

The entertainment programme began that day with the hymn in honour of KCI patron Mother Theresa. Galaxy Band fame in Israel master Prakash Fernandes and musicians presented their songs and dances. KDCC Israel and KCI Israel together with other like minded organizations in Israel performed a skit. KCI well-wishers, sponsors and donations helped themconduct the programme. Lucky dips and auctions made the programme meaningful.

Rs 2,25,000 that remained after deducting the expenditure that day was donated to the poor in India. They donated Rs 75,000 each to three families through KCI members Sunil D’Souza and John D’Souza. KCI Israel has been serving to bring out the talents and helping the needy during the last five years.
