Bantwal: Fish vendor held on charge of sexual harassment

Bantwal, Feb 9: The personnel of the rural police station here have arrested a person from the taluk. The accused is a fish vendor by profession. It is learnt that he has been arrested under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Harassment Act.

The fish vendor has been accused of sexually harassing a minor girl. The arrested accused, Mustafa (32), resident of Farangipet Kumpanamajalu, trades in fish. The parents of a girl living in his neighbourhood have accused him of taking the girl along to Farangipet and sexually harassing her there.

Bantwal rural police are investigating the charges.
