Doha: Tulu-Koota Qatar to Host ‘Parbada Darbar’ on Jan 21, 2011

Doha, Dec 28: Tulu-Koota Qatar as a part of their ongoing endeavour to encourage new talent is organizing ‘Parbada Darbar’- which is a combination of a food festival and group competitions in Skit, Mad Ads and Cine Dance at the Indian Club here on Friday January 21, 2011.

The competitions are open to the ICC affiliated organizations from Karnataka namely Tulu-Koota
(TK), Karnataka Sangha (KS), Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA), Karnataka Muslim Association (KMCA) and Mangalore Cultural Association (MCA).

General Rules and Regulations of the event are as follows:

Religious and sensitive issues to be avoided
To abide by the time provided
Last date for receiving entries is 11/01/2011
Entries to be sent to tulukootaqatar@gmail.com
Stall number for the participants will be allotted at the time of registration which is 9.30 am to 10.00 am
Registration for the accepted entries for Skit, Mad Ads & Cine Dance will start at 2.00 pm on the day of the event
Lots will be taken at the time of registration on the day of the event
Any event having less than two entries will stand cancelled

Tulu-Koota cordially invites the expatriate community from Karnataka to participate in the event and showcase their talent during the occasion and also exhibit their culinary skills by putting up a food stall per organization and thus putting up mouth-watering dishes to all gathered.

SKIT: RULES AND REGULATION

1. Max 1 entry per Organization.
2. Max Team size: 6; Min Team Size: 3
3. Time limit :- 15 minutes.
4. Items required for skit should be arranged by participants / participating
organization.
5. Skit has to be performed either in National Language (Hindi) or in languages
spoken Karnataka(Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Beary, Urdu).
6. Use of obscene / defamatory language or actions will lead to disqualification.
7. Religious and sensitive issues to be avoided.
8. The following factors will be considered for the evaluation.
9. i).Costume, ii). Performance, iii). Message, iv. Dialogue Delivery.
10. The Judges decision will be final and binding.
11. Entry Fee : QAR 100 / team

MAD ADS:RULES AND REGULATION

1. Max 3 entries per Organization.
2. Max Team size: 3+1
3. Time limit :- 3 minutes.
4. The teams are expected to present their products in a humorous manner.
5. Performance language is restricted to National Language (Hindi) , English and
in languages spoken in Karnataka(Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Beary, Urdu).
6. Use of obscene / defamatory language or actions will lead to disqualification.
7. Religious and sensitive issues to be avoided.
8. The following factors will be considered for the evaluation
9. i.)Humour & Creativity, ii). Performance, iii). Punch Line, iv). Narration
10. The Judges decision will be final and binding.
11. Entry Fee : QAR 50 / team.

Cine Dance: RULES AND REGULATION

1. Competition will have following two categories.
2. 1)Below 16 ; ii). Above 16
3. Max 2 entries per category / Organization.
4. Max Team size: 6; Min Team Size: 3
5. Time limit :- 5 minutes.
6. Props required for the dance should be arranged by participants / participating organization.
7. Religious and sensitive issues to be avoided.
8. The following factors will be considered for the evaluation
i. Costume, ii. Performance, iii. Grace, iv. Expression.
9. The Judges decision will be final and binding.
10. Entry Fee : QAR 50 / team.

Food Stall:

1. Max 1 entry per organization.
2. Tables – 2 Nos (1.2m x 1 m) , Chairs – 2Nos, 1-Electrical Point , thrash bag
will be provided
by the Tulukoota.
3. Display board (A4) will be provided by Tulukoota, the participants will have to
arrange for the menu card.
4. Stall decoration to be handled by the participants.
5. Entry Fee : QAR 150 / stall.
6. Disposable items to be arranged by the participants.
7. Participants are requested to maintain cleanliness in their respective stalls.
