Udupi Feb 10: "It is up to the students and their parents to decide on entering classes without Hijab. The interim order of the high court is not satisfactory. We are expecting a good verdict finally from the court," said Attaullah Punjalkatte, state president, Campus Front of India.
Addressing the mediapersons here on Thursday, February 10, he said " The MLA has politicised the issue by encouraging saffron shawls. ABVP and Sangha Parivar are behind this violence. We will fight legally, if we do not get justice," he added.
"It is our aspiration that the court gives a satisfactory verdict very soon. We did not force anyone to follow their religious right. We have confidence in the final verdict," he said.
Punjalkatte expressed faith that the verdict will be in favor of Hijab. "We will continue our fight. We have given legal suggestions to the students of Udupi Government Pre-University College for Girls," he added.
He offered total support to the six girl students of Udupi Government Women's PU College fighting for their right to HIjab, he said.
