Mangaluru: St Anthony’s Ashram all set to celebrate feast of Relic

Mangaluru. Feb 13: Dr Peter Paul Saldanha will bless the foundation stone of the main gate to be constructed at the entrance at St Anthony’s Ashram at 11 AM and then celebrate the festive mass at 11.30 AM at the Ashram Chapel.

Though St Anthony died in the 13 th century his tongue is still incorrupt. The Catholic church and the devotees believe that this is a miracle God has shown in him for the wonderful work he did during his earthly life. St Anthony’s Ashram has conducted the devotion of St Anthony in Mangaluru during the past 124 years. People from different walks of life irrespective of religion, language, nationality have approached the shrine and have obtained material as well as spiritual benefits from this devotion.

In the evening Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza the Bishop Emeritus will preside over the festive mass at Milagres Church grounds. Dr Joseph Martis, professor at St Joseph Seminary will preach the homily.

The other mass timings are 6 AM at St Anthony’s Chapel Jeppu, 8.15 AM at Milagres Church and 4.30 PM at Milagres in Malayalam.
