Mangalore, Dec 30: The voters have to produce the photo identity card provided by the Election Commission of India while exercising their franchise in the taluk and zilla panchayat polls to be held on December 31. 

In case the voter has no photo identity card he may produce one of the following documents permitted by the district administration and identified by the election commission. Passport, driving license, identity card provided by the state, centre and public sector companies or other private institutions, passbooks issued by the banks, post office, identity cards of registered educational institutions issued to students, registration deeds with photographs, title deeds, ration cards, caste certificate of SC/ST or OBC, pension documents with photo among others.

The  identity cards of freedom fighters, arm license, ID card of physically challenged, CSD canteen cards for former armymen, Sandhyasuraksha card, MNREG employment card, yashaswini card, senior citizens identity card, card issued by the city corporation, town municipal, city municipal, gram panchayat,  ration card issued by food and civil supplies department and Smart card issued by Health insurance scheme too can be produced as documentary proof.
