Udupi: 101st house in city get  Asare  Charitable Trust Kadiyali's free electricity

Udupi, Feb 13: The Charitable Trust Kadiyali, a service project of the Udupi Public Ganeshotsava Committee, has provided free electricity connection to the 101st under privileged family residing in Gopalpur ward here on Sunday, February 13. 

General Secretary of the trust, K Raghavendra Kini addressing the occasion, said that, "The trust will provide free electricity connection to all the needy houses in the city. By 2022, the entire city of Udupi would get electricity at free of cost. The trust intends to make Udupi the first city in the country with 100 percent electricity connection and the project is going on successfully."

People without electricity supply connection in their houses can contact the trust for free connection, he said. .
Sponsor of this project, Vishwanath Kamath launched the connection by switching on the plug in the house of Girija Poojarthi from Gopalpur ward, a beneficiary of the project.

Rakesh Jogi, member, Ganeshotsava Committee, Manjula Nayak, Councillor, Ganesh Kotian, Madimallikarjun temple president, Umesh Shetty, president, Karavali Credit Cooperative Bank, Chinmay Murthy, Yadav Nayampalli, Dinakar Nayampalli, Amith Poojary, Uday Nayampalli, Prathap Poojary, Naveen Nayak, Shamaray Acharya, Prakash Acharya and others were present.
