Moily Meets CBI Chief to Discuss Aarushi Case

New Delhi, Dec 31 (IANS) Law Minister M. Veerappa Moily Friday discussed the more than two-year-old Aarushi murder case with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director A.P. Singh in the wake of the agency filing a closure report in the yet unsolved case citing lack of evidence.

"Someone has killed Aarushi in a brutal and dastardly way. We need to take it seriously. I have today invited director of CBI for a discussion on this matter. Let us see how we can take it forward," Moily told reporters prior to the meeting.

The CBI Wednesday sought to close Aarushi Talwar's murder as an unsolved cas on grounds of lack of evidence.

Defending the investigative agency, Moily said: "I must tell you that CBI always does a perfect job. There is no question whether they do the job or not but the question is whether it is a fit case for closing."

Aarushi, the daughter of dentist parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar, was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in their Jalvayu Vihar apartment in Noida May 16, 2008. The family's domestic help, Hemraj, whom Noida police initially suspected for the murder, was also found killed on the flat's terrace a day later.

People have no faith in the CBI what after they let the culprits free, like Mr.Q and so many others. It is the handmaid of the govt. Why it took so many months to question A.Raja and Kalmadi? Who is instructing the CBI to go slow in political cases? There must be some hidden hand which directs the CBI to close Arushi's case. C'mon, don't tell us that CBI is a bunch of inefficient guys.If they are independent, they will go after all the culprits in Arushi's case as well as corrupt politicians. Mr. Moily, give the CBI a free hand and see the result.
