Kundapur: Dr Bhadragiri Achuthadas Receives KOMA Karantha Award

Kundapur, Jan 1: KOMA Karantha Award was presented to Dr Bhadragiri Achuthadas in a function held at Hanumantha temple auditorium, Kote, near here, recently.  The function was held under the auspices of Kunda Prabha Balaga.

Temple managing trustee K Suryanarayan Upadhyaya, in his inaugural address, said that spirituality is as important as food and water to mankind.



Temple trustee Radhakrishna Shenoy said that the services rendered by Bhadragiri Achuthadas were a model for others to emulate.
 
Karnataka Konkani Nataka Academy president K Narayana Karvi presided over the function. Taluk Bharat Seva Dal president M Ganesh Shetty was the chief guest on the occasion.
 
Mumbai entrepreneur and social worker Venkatesh Pai and social activist Vishwanath Poojary were present on the dais. Jana Jagruti Vedike president Pari B Appanna Hedge and internationally-famed magician Om Ganesh were also present on the occasion. 
 
U S Shenoy, editor-in-chief, ‘Kunda Prabha’, Kannada weekly, delivered the introductory address.  K O Shivananda Karanth welcomed the gathering.  VAT officer Subramanya Shetty compered the programme while P Jayavantha Pai proposed the vote of thanks.
