Daijiworld Media Network – Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Jan 1: On Friday December 31, fire broke out in a room inside Lord Subrahmanya temple complex in Subrahmanya in the taluk. The room is being used for preparing Naivedyam for the Lord.

The temple staff immediately got engaged in the work of extinguishing fire. They could douse the fire within some time. The incident did not result in injuries or heavy losses, as the fire was controlled at the beginning itself, and the number of devotees visiting the temple was less, on account of Ekadasi day.

MLA, S Angara, rushed to the temple as soon he came to know about the incident and inspected the damage. Temple executive officer, Ningaiah, was present. It is learnt that electrical short circuit had caused the fire.
