Mangalore, Jan 2: A daylong workshop and training programme for Dakshina Kannada district Sevadal workers was initiated at NGO Hall on January 2.

Janardhan Poojary initiated the programme by hoisting the flag.

Speaking on the occasion Poojary said that Sevadala is considered as the mother institution of Congress party. Sevadal motivates every individual to inculcate discipline, service mentality, simplicity and other human values, he added.
 
Pointing out that the programme started on time at 9.00 am, he appreciated the organizers and said this should be ideal for everyone.
 
Local corporator Kumari Appi presided. Commandant of the training camp, Shankara Moorthy, state convenor D N Chilwodagi, state convenor of women unit Sujatha Ullal, other leaders like Vinayaka Moorthi, Vishwanath, Ramakrishna, Raju Poojary and DK district women unit chief organizer Vrinda were present.
 
D K district chief organizer Haji H M Ashraf welcomed the gathering. Later Congress spokesperson M G Hegde inaugurated the camp.

As many as 150 Sevadal activists took part in the camp.
