Kundapur, Jan 3: Sumana Poojary (18), daughter of Anand Poojary from Koni village near here, ended her life by hanging herself at her residence. The incident occurred at around midnight on Saturday January 1.
Sumana, who was awake till 11.30 pm, was found hanging in her bedroom the next morning. She used the veil of her Churidar as rope to end her life.
In a suicide note left behind, the girl said she was frustrated by her nagging ill health and also the derogatory remarks being made by some people against her. A case in this connection was registered in the local police station.
