Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Jan 6: Kundapur constituency BJP unit president, B Kishore Kumar, said that the Congress leaders, who wanted to ensnare the BJP candidates through a web of vilification campaign against the BJP leaders and making personal remarks on them, got caught in its own web. He was speaking at a press conference held here on Wednesday January 5.

“The Congressmen would have thought that the people are innocent and that they can be made to believe the cock and bull stories concocted by them. But the people are intelligent. They taught these rumour mongers a lesson,” he felt.

Shetty felt that his party could register facile victory in the constituency because of the hard work of the candidates and activists, cooperation of party leaders and the support of the voters. He said that the voting pattern clearly shows that the party’s image in the region has received a boost after the Lok Sabha election.

“As the electorate exercised its franchise in the elections in favour of the BJP, the achievements of the Yeddyurappa-led government have received recognition. Further, the local MLA feels relieved, as pressure to achieve has now been off,” he said.

Former taluk panchayat member, Haddur Rajeev Shetty, BJP spokesperson, Sharatchandra Shetty, municipal councillor, Rajesh Kaveri, and Prashant Sarang were present at the press conference.
