Bengaluru: Heroin worth Rs 7 crore surgically removed from passenger's belly

Bengaluru, Feb 25: A Ugandan citizen who arrived at the airport here with heroin worth seven crore rupees hidden in his stomach was stopped by the customs officials. He had arrived at the Kempegowda International Airport here from Sharjah.

79 heroin tablets worth seven crore rupees were taken into possession from the passenger. He was taken into custody and surgery was performed on two days for extracting the tablets from his stomach, the customs officials stated.
