Mumbai: Kannada Kalakendra – Chukki Sankula holds Sahitya Sanje programme

Mumbai, Feb 25: Kannada Kala Kendra and Lekhaka Kalavidara Balaga Chukki Sankula held a Sahitya Sanje programme at Mysuru association auditorium, Matunga east on Feb 26. Kala Kendra president Madhusoodan T R presided over the programme. Chief guest M Venkatesh, general manager of Union Bank of India inaugurated the programme and released the book London to Vatican City written by Gopal Trasi.

Bank’s manager Ashok Nayar, Havyaka monthly magazine editor Amita S Bhagavat, Savita G Trasi, Apoorva G Trasi and Daiva G Trasi were on the dais. Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha Maharashtra joint treasurer Dr G P Kusuma and author Ashok Valadoor took part in the public discussions with the author. Ganesh Kumar, who had created the front page of the book, was honoured.

Havyaka Sandesh monthly magazine editor Amita S Bhagawath presided over the Kavisamaya programme. Poets Narayana Shetty Nandalike, Arush N Shetty, Dr G P Kusuma, Ashok Valadoor, Dr Vaishali Nayak, Saroja Srikanth Amati, Hema Sadananda Ameen, Vittala Manure, Savita Shetty, Ganesh Kumar and Gopal Trasi took part in the discussions on poems.

Sanvi Rai Trasi sang a prayer. G P Kusuma introduced the guests. Manohar Shetty Nandalike welcomed and compered the programme. Chukki Sankula convener S Daya conducted the poet’s conference and rendered a vote of thanks.
