Mangaluru, Feb 28: The senior Investiture Ceremony was held with dignity on February 28 at St. Theresa’s School, Mangalore. The event was presided over by the Dr Prasanna Kumar Rao, Professor in Oral Medicine & Radiology at A.J. Institute of Dental Sciences accompanied by the School Principal Sr. Lourdes, Vice Principal Sr. Caron and P.T.A. Vice President Charleen Rebimbus.
It was conducted with high degree of passion where young students were prepared to take up leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them. The ceremony commenced by presenting a prayer song to invoke God’s blessings on each one of us.
The principal made the audience comfortable by proposing the welcome speech and by introducing the chief guest. The dignitaries and teachers of the High School conferred students with Sashes. The students took an Oath to be loyal to the institution and to discharge their duties with full vigour.
The head boy Pradyunkumar RaoJ and the Head girl Aadya Carol led the spectacular March Past, inspiring and emitting the sense of dignity and pride that is in the heart of each Theresian.
Graceful movements make every step a wonderful co-ordination to feel the beat. To grace this occasion with cheer and glee, the students presented a cultural dance.
The chief guest congratulated the cabinet members and urged them to strive hard to achieve success. Ananya Shetty, the outgoing Head Girl and Prayun Kumar the incoming Headboy expressed their sentiments of joy for the responsibility entrusted to them.
The activity teachers SangeetaFernandes and Nishitha Salins announced the overall winners for all the activities participated by the four houses. The Yellow House emerged as the Winners and the Green House as the Runners-up for the academic year2021-22.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It is a gem that a pure heart can give. Vote of thanks was proposed by Raychel Rose of Std. X on behalf of Theresians.
The Investiture Ceremony ended by singing the National Anthem.
