Mumbai: Grand Finale to Mark Daijiworld's Decennial Celebrations

Mumbai, Jan 10: Daijiworld is all set for the grand finale of its decennial year celebrations, with a final event in Mumbai that will see a host of renowned personalities from across India and abroad gracing the occasion.
The event will be held at the Inning Hall of Mumbai Cricket Association, Bandra in Mumbai at 7 pm on Wednesday January 12.

Noted NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist Ronald Colaco will be the chief guest while P Dayananda Pai, managing director, Century Building Indurstries, Siraj Ahmed, managing director, In-land Infrastructure Developers, Leo Rodrigues, NRI entrepreneur from Abu Dhabi and Grace Pinto, director, Ryan International Group of Schools, will be the guests of honour.
Distinguished guests from around India and abroad will also be present at the glittering ceremony.
The decennial year saw Daijiworld host a number of events to mark the celebrations. While Daijiworld's noted photographer Dayanand Kukkaje's photo exhibition at St Aloysius College had a number of enthusiasts thronging the venue, an inter-collegiate quiz contest at St Agnes College witnessed keen participation by colleges across the region. The cherry on the cake was the final event, Hyssna Miss Daijiworld-2010 photogenic contest, which received a truly magnificent response among our readers.

The much-awaited announcement of the winner of the hugely popular Hyssna Miss Daijiworld-2010 Contest too will be made on the occasion.
The crowning ceremony will be graced by Ronald Pinto of Hyssna International LLC, Abu Dhabi and his wife Dorothy Pinto, Albert W D'Souza, chairman, ALDEL Education Trust, Mumbai, Felix Lobo, NRI entrepreneur from Doha, Qatar, and Rohan Monteiro, managing director, Property Infra Tech India Pvt Ltd, as guests of honour.

It may be recalled that the online photogenic contest held towards the end of the year 2010 had recieved overwhelming response from world over, with more than 1,200 entries from every nook and corner of the globe. The judges had a tough time choosing the top ten, who were then put in public's hands for voting. By the time voting ended on December 20, daijiworld had registered more than 99,000 votes, a record in itself.
The judges and the general public together chose 19-year-old Anjali Jayasheela Shetty from Mangalore, 24-year-old Monica Priyanka D'Souza from Mumbai, and 20-year-old Rashmi Gratia Rebello from Manipal as the top three finalists.
All the three will be crowned in Mumbai during the decennial celebrations and the winner will receive not only the prestigious title of 'Hyssna Miss Daijiworld-2010' but also a cash award of Rs 50,000. The first runner-up will be awarded Rs 25,000 while the second runner-up will take home Rs 15,000. The winner of the crown will be announced on the occasion.
