Bantwal: Thieves Target Two Houses in Vittal

Bantwal, Jan 10: Unidentified thieves entered two houses located in Badanaje and Chandalike respectively, located within the jurisdiction of Vittal police station, on the night of Saturday January 8. They took away gold ornaments worth Rs 1.7 lac, four mobile phones, and Rs 10,000 in cash.

The thieves gained entry into a house owned by Reshma Parvin in Vittal Badanaje by breaking the door of the first floor of her house. They took away gold ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lac, Rs 10,000 in cash and a mobile phone.

Thieves barged into the house of Abdul Hamid in Chandalike by breaking the rear door of his home. They then broke open a steel almirah and took away gold ornaments worth Rs 20,000, and three mobile phones.

Sniffer dogs and finger print experts were summoned from Mangalore in this connection, but they could not get any immediate clues about the culprits.
