Mumbai: Karnataka’s Disha Aditya Mannur pilots plane carrying Indians from Ukraine

Mumbai, March 3: Disha Aditya Mannur, hailing from Belagavi was one of the pilots that flew planes carrying back Indians stranded in the war torn Ukraine. She flew along with four other pilots the aircraft AI-1947 from New Delhi to Ukraine and evacuated 242 Indians.

Disha had obtained pilot's training at Wellington, New Zealand and joined Air India as the pilot in 2017. She has flown the aircrafts to several countries from then on. Her husband Aditya Mannur too is an Air India pilot.

They are the son and daughter in law of Belagavi based Padmaja Prahlada Mannur, an active member of Goregaon Karnataka Sangha.
