Kasargod, Jan 15: In an incident that occurred on national highway 17 at Kuniya near Periya, Kanhangad, in the district on Friday January 14, a four-year-old girl got killed, after coming under the wheels of a tanker.
Mirshana (4), daughter of Ashraf and Safiya, natives of Kaniya, got killed. Ashraf is employed in the Gulf. The girl had come near the road to see off her elder sister, who was going to attend her school.
Mirshana was hit by the tanker, which was moving towards Kochi from Mangalore, while she was returning home. She sustained grave injuries and breathed her last on the spot.
