Dubai: Tamquest Entertainment to Host Cox and Kings Kite Festival

Dubai, Jan 17: Cox & Kings - Dubai International Kite Festival, one of the biggest and most unique festivals of kites, will be organized for the first time in the UAE. It will showcase some of the best kite flyers from around the world like David Gomberg Kite Team (USA), Team Mangalore (India), and Buhamad Kite team (Kuwait). Kites of all shapes and sizes will be on display at the festival, including some massive character and theme-based kites. It would be an annual gathering of all the kite lovers. The Kite Festival will have workshops where people can learn everything from making the kites to flying them. On first-come-first-serve basis, the first 100 people (age 10-15) will be provided with all the materials required for making kites by the organizers and the forms will be available at the venue.
Under the patronage of ‘Dubai Shopping Festival’, the organizers of the festival are positive that ‘Cox & Kings – Dubai International Kite Festival’ will popularize kite flying as an exciting outdoor activity among youngsters in the UAE. The Tamquest team is sure that the festival will attract many tourists and residents of UAE. Kite flying is a major outdoor sport in India, and it is a popular recreational activity at the time of Basant (Festival of Harvest) and Makar Sankranti – which marks the transition of the sun into Makara Rashi (Capricorn) on its celestial path, in India and Pakistan.

Ticket Rates: Family passes 50 AED (that covers a couple and two kinds aged below 16 yrs). 40 AED for couple pass, and 30 AED for single (additional AED 5 per head will be charged as park entry fee).
