Udupi: Pascal Walter D'Sa, retired professor of Shirva St Mary's College passes away

Udupi, Mar 13: Prof Pascal Walter D'Sa, retired professor of St Mary's College, Shirva passed away on Sunday, March 13 in a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Pascal D'Sa had served in Shirva's St Mary's College for 35 years.

Hailing from Bantwal, he joined St Mary’s College in 1980 as a lecturer, served as the head of the department of commerce, student welfare officer, coordinator of alumni association, director of mid-day meal scheme and NCC officer of the college.

He served even as a member of Mangalore University Commerce examination forum. He was an NCC officer of St Mary's College, Shirva for 29 years. As an NCC officer he had organized 24 blood donation camps in association with Kasturba Hospital Manipal and Udupi district hospital blood banks. He retired from service in March 2015.

Pascal Walter D'sa is survived by his wife, retired teacher Praffulla D'Sa, son orthopedic surgeon Dr Prashanth D'Sa and daughter Dr Preema D'Sa.
