Kundapur, March 13: A-35-year-old woman was killed in a road accident while saving her child from a truck collision on a National Highway at Hemmadi on Sunday, March 13.

The deceased is identified as Jyothi, a resident of Ragihaklu near Arehole Yerukone.

Her husband Sharath and the child were injured in the incident.

Reportedly, a truck transporting soil from Hemmadi towards Kundapur rammed into the scooter. Rash and negligent driving by the truck driver is said to be the cause of the accident.

When the truck hit the scooter, an alert prevented her child from falling and quickly moved to a safer side also raising an alarm. However, she came under the wheels of the druck which was rash and out of control.

Traffic police visited the spot. It is said the couple was going to attend an old-age home inauguration in Kundapur.

No police or rto authority is bothered about the atrocities of these tippers. They simply drive so rash that there is no value for human lives. Is there a police office who can do something about these tippers at all.??
