Udupi, Mar 13: "This is a pro-society programme. We should strive so that everyone gets good health. Helping others adds real meaning to life," said Udupi Yakshagana Centre administrator Dr Jayaprakash Shetty.He was speaking after the inaugurating free health check-up camp organised for women and girls by Tallur Family Trust, Navodaya Self-help group and Girija Group of Concerns here on Sunday, March 13.
"As man strives for himself, he should also strive for the society. It gives real meaning to human life. We should learn a lot of lessons from nature. Let us build our life by organising social works. Tallur Shivaram Shetty and Girija Group of Concerns have organised several such pro-social programmes," he said.
Tallur Family Trust president Tallur Shivaram Shetty speaking about the programme, said, "Girls and women are facing various types of health issues. Inorder to find out such health issues in the initial stages this health camp has been organised."
On the occasion, free consultation, blood test, urine test, diabetic test and BP check-up were held.
Obstetrician-gynecologist Ranjitha S Nayak of Sristi Clinic shared information about the problems faced by women.
Ravindra Shetty and Harish Kumar of Girija Group of Concerns, Tallur Family Trust president Dr Tallur Shivaram Shetty, Janamitra Digital Sevakendra head Dhanjaya Poojary Kidoor and Navodaya Self -help groups Vimala Dayanand were present.
