Mar 13: Dakshina Kannada reports 3 Covid cases, Udupi nil infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 13:Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, March 13, reported 3 new coronavirus case while Udupi registered nil cases.

The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,448 out of which 23 are currently active.

As many as 2 patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,848.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,15,98,380 as fine in 96,137 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

No positive cases were reported on Sunday. The total active Covid cases have risen to 28. A total of 2 patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday.

Udupi taluk reported 0 cases, Kundapura 0 and 0 cases in Karkala.

A total of 10,51,656 people have received first dose of vaccination and 972515 have received both doses and 46,644 people have received booster dose.
