Bantwal, Mar 14: State minister for housing and infrastructure development, V Somanna, said that his party is prepared to face election anytime. "Our top priority would be to showcase to the people the people-friendly schemes implemented by Narendra Modi and Basavaraj Bommai. We have drawn up a strategy accordingly," he added.

He spoke to media persons in the travellers’ bungalow here during his visit to the town for participating in a private programme.

He said that the people have strongly backed the BJP in the states where elections were held recently. He said that on the model of campaigning in this election which was hugely successful, the party will introduce to the people of the country about the dreams Narendra Modi has about the country. He accused the previous government in the state of committing a blunder in not providing proper information about rural housing as a result of which 18 lac houses and 6.6 lac sites were rejected as the central government. He said that the centre was not kept informed. "Later, under the instructions of the Prime Minister, the chief minister has made sure that five lac houses costing Rs 6,612 crore of which four lac houses are meant for rural areas and one lac to urban areas. He said that the task of issuing work orders for 2,500 houses will be set rolling in Bantwal constituency once the current assembly session concludes, in April.

Somanna squarely blamed the previous congress regime in the state for making a mess of housing sector and creating numerous problems. He blamed the Congress leaders for wasting time by speaking recklessly.

Somanna said that houses will be given to all the districts including Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Byndoor constituency etc. He said that the legislators from coastal Karnataka are working very well and there cannot be any complaints about their working. He praised these MLAs for providing transparent administration.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadyguthu, Byndoor MLA Sukumar Shetty, municipal councillor A Govind Prabhu, entrepreneurs Uday Kumar Rao and Vivek Shetty Nagriguthu, were present.

The frustration within Congress and also within its Chelas is understandable. But I wonder how a party is OK to keep suffering series of defeats and yet takes no action against their own leadership, unless it has decided to commit suicide and retire into oblivion. Are they really fulfilling the wish of Mahatma Gandhi, when he wanted the Congrress to be dissolved after independence ? The talented people in congress should join BJP or other parties like AAP or TMC and look for growth. It is quite clear that AAP will emerge as the national alternative to BJP in the coming elections. AAP is like a startup hungry for growth and success. All the decades old/centuries old parties will crumble.

Victory is gauranted with the help of EVM's. Elections in India since 2014 have become a Mockery. The Modus Operandi is as follows. Fake exit polls are created to conform with the results that are manipulated with the help of EVM's. Road shows and election meetings with hired crowds and some times morphed images with the help of the godi media are created to put up an artificial show of strength and to justify the EVM Sponsered results. Denying Tejswani Yadav and Akhlesh Yadav their much deserved wins in Bihar and UP is the work of the EVM's. God save our country with such blatant subversion of democracy. The win of the BJP in four states and Landslides for AAP in Punjab is the EVM Kaa Kamaal and may be Pegasus Kaa Jadu.

To all who say the 'Gandhis have to quit', My response is , its not necessary. I agree with DKS that 'without Gandhis Congress wont survive or hold together'. Having said that the Congress party has to do some serious brain storming if they want to bounce back. RaGa has to contest , win and work as a CM in some state, Same goes with Priyanka Vadra. Based on what they deliver they can be counted as leaders or PM material. This is the only way out! Look atModi, Kejriwal, Mamtadi, Stalin etc, All are CMs. One cannot be a potential PM candidate by just being a MP in Kerala and play the 'Nehru family' card. Todays voters want to see what has been delivered that who the candidate is!

Very good and apt analysis. Every candidate needs to performs and demonstrate his /her capabilities. A state level CM tenure is the best bet. Or else its like canvassing for Nalin Kumar Kateel for PMs post.

No wonder Somanna is confident. The BJP has already started their Ground work and campaigning is in full flow in Gujarat. The Congress is yet to even 'select' its leader. Just arriving on the last day and waving at the crowd will give you the same '' 2 seats out of 379 with 367 candidates losing deposit '' sort of result.

If EVM machines (Manuputed) are already kept it ready, then they will ready for election anytime, all knows what will will be results, as we have seen in BIHAR, U.P, GOA, MANIPUR, UTTARKHAND, ASSAM ETC where they have their own govts. but, in Punjab & West Bengal, results are different because in Punjab has Congress Govt. & in WB have TMC Govt. (Tigress Mamata) they won't allow them to change the EVMS. If all are involves anything will possible, but for each & everything END will be there. You can't do illegal things always. Please bring back Ballot paper election then we will see who is winning & who is losing, even developed countries like USA & UK making election through BALLOT PAPER, why not in India.

'When' and 'How ' is the biggest question the party is currently facing, As they try to introspect their 2014 loss, AAP will replace Congress as a major opposition.
