Mangaluru: Muslim Central Committee thanks Bandh supporters, mulls separate university

Mangaluru, March 17: The Muslim Central Committee president former MLC Mohammed Masood thanked those who supported the Bandh call given by various Muslim organisations on Thursday, march 17, against the High Court's order on Hijab.

He also said that the Muslim community in Mangaluru had successfully observed the Bandh.

"We should be committed to the decision taken by the Muslim Law Board in the future", Masood called upon the community.

In this regard, the maulvis and leaders will hold a meeting and take appropriate decision. he said.

Speaking on the plan to start a Muslim University in Mangaluru-Udupi region, he said that University will be open to all.
