Mangalore: Workshop on Electronics and Computer Science Organized at SJEC

Mangalore, Jan 23: The department of Physics, St Joseph Engineering College(SJEC), Vamanjoor here organized a one-day workshop on ‘Electronics and computer science’ for the science teachers of High Schools in city, recently.

The workshop was sponsored by Pilikula Science Centre, Vamanjoor.  The objective of the workshop was to provide a platform for the high school teachers of science to improve and upgrade their knowledge and skills in advanced subjects of electronics and computer science.

The programme was inaugurated by K Rajalakshmi, BEO, Dr K V Rao, director, Pilikula Science Centre, Vamanjoor and Dr Joseph Gonsalves, principal, SJEC were the guests of honour.  Fr Henry Mascarenhas,
assistant director, SJEC presided over the function.
Dr Vincent Crasta, professor and head, department of Physics, SJEC and Pradeep Kanchan, assistant  professor, department of Computer Science, SJEC were the resource persons.
25 members from different High Schools of Mangalore city and taluk attended the workshop.
