Aarushi's Father Rajesh Talwar Attacked with Knife at Court

Ghaziabad, Jan 25 (NDTV): Aarushi Talwar's father, Rajesh, has been rushed to hospital after he was attacked by a young man with a knife at a Ghaziabad court.

Talwar was taken by his lawyers to hospital, his face was bleeding. His attacker has been arrested.

Talwar's 13-year-old daughter, Aarushi, was murdered in their home in Noida in May 2008. The family's domestic help, Hemraj, was discovered dead on the terrace a few hours later.

The CBI has been arguing in court that it should be allowed to close its investigation into the Aarushi case because it has not found enough evidence to charge anyone with her murder. However, the agency has listed Rajesh, a dentist, as its only suspect. Legal experts describe this as character assassination.

Rajesh, a dentist, was arrested a week after his daughter's death by the Noida police. He was released close to three months later after the CBI admitted it had no evidence against him.

Talwar was in court today to argue that the CBI should not abandon its investigation and that its conclusions are incorrect.

He, like his wife Nupur, has been put through brain-mapping and lie detector tests as part of the CBI's inquiry.

Ir happens when justice is not given to the victims when people get tired of listening to the media. People will take law in their hands, though it is not lawful. The 30 minutes report on Star News channel on 24/01/2011 in 'Sansani' brief's the entire episode as to how the parents cleared all evidence to prove their innocence. Whatever evidence they forgot to erase, is taken care by bribing the CBI. Indians will not get justice so easily and fast. This case will go on and on and on, it will get closed and will be opened several time in the years to come. At least till Rajesh and Nupur Talwar live in this world.

Hey Mr.Bobby..... On reading the CBI Closure report is very clearly established that none other than Talwar would have killed those 2 innocent souls. Since he is a doctor he knows how to deceive the narco analysis test. This child killer has to be brought to justice.

As per TV reports the young man who attacked Aarushi Talwar's father, Rajesh, with a sharp object is Uthsav Sharma- the same person who attacked Rathod outside Chandigarh court a few months back. His father is a professor in the Banaras Hindu University. the young man may be having some psychological problem. It is not correct to blame court or CBI.

We the public are mute spectators. All is meticulously done at the basic stage. We remember that the victim's vaginal swab was tampered with, which, is no small person's job. Both the doctor parents did very smart job to replace it with somebody else's sample. What more will one needs to suspect that their hand is in ? They should not ask for more public funds to be spent on this case. Regardless, the less we comment, the more peacefully will Arushi's soul rest.

Now it seems Court and prison have become safe haven for the criminals in our country. Where's our legal system leading to? If the government machinery is really serious about delivering justice in its true sense to the victim and their kins then serious inspection of our entire system be introspected. Otherwise, let's continue in a system where the accused can get sufficient time to prove innocence and the person seeking justice get frustrated and withdraws.

I am sorry to say but CBI is most corrupt agency. CBI must be given money to keep their mouth shut in Arushi's case. Pandher, who has killed so many children in Nithari is scot free because of money power and only his servant,Narendra Koli is given death punishment even they alongwith judiciary are dilli dallying the case of Ruchika and not punishing Rathod (plastic smile) with death penalty for molesting and abetting teenage tennis player Ruchika to commit suicide and harrasing her family members. It is better to handover the case to some foreign detectives.

Top investigating agency' CBI's inability to trace the culpurit angered the public as CBI suspects Arushi's father. The mystery of the case still haunting public and therefore Rajesh Talwar was attacked. The helplessness  of the CBI in Arushi case is condemnable and shameful. The attcaker may give some lead in this incident and at any cost CBI should bring the killer of Arushi to rule of land.
