Mar 25: Dakshina Kannada reports nil Covid cases, Udupi two infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 25:Dakshina Kannada on Friday, March 25, reported nil coronavirus cases while Udupi registered two cases.

The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,480 out of which 10 are currently active.

As many as 1 patient was discharged from hospitals on Friday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,04,480 as fine in 96,200 mincidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Two positive cases were reported on Friday. The total active Covid cases have risen to seven. Five patients were discharged from hospitals on Friday.

Udupi taluk reported 2 cases, Kundapura 0 and 0 cases in Karkala.

A total of 10,68,262 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1017165 have received both doses and 52,283 people have received booster dose.
