Abu Dhabi, Jan 25 (IANS/WAM) Officials from over a dozen American healthcare and pharmaceutical companies have arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to explore opportunities for partnerships between the two countries.
The "US Commercial Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, and Technology Trade Mission to the UAE" is an initiative led by the US-UAE Business Council in partnership with the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
The trade mission will focus on the development of the UAE's healthcare system, explore opportunities for potential commercial partnerships between US and Gulf companies, and educate US companies about the UAE's economic environment.
"US companies are well-known in the UAE, and in the broader region, for their expertise in the areas of pharmaceutical development, medical and technical innovation, and medical research," said Danny Sebright, president of the US-UAE Business Council.
