Mangalore: Jamat-e-Islami Hind to Organize Mahila Samavesh on Jan 31

Mangalore, Jan 28: The women’s wing of Jamat-e-Islami Hind, Dakshina Kannada (DK) district, will organize the DK district Mahila Samavesh at Town Hall on Monday January 31 between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm.
 
Yasmeen Ibrahim, district convener, Jamat-e-Islami Hind women’s wing, Aleppey, Kerala, will deliver the key note address on ‘Ideal Women – Notion and Role’.
 
Shahnaz M, editor, Kannada women’s monthly magazine ‘Anupama’, will talk on the topic ‘Ideal Life of Sahabi Women’.
 
Mariam Shahira, lecturer, Women’s Islamic College, Tokkottu, will talk on the topic – ‘Reforms in Families’.
 
A seminar on ‘Role of Women in Families and Society: Ways to Improve the Existing Situation’ will be held on the occasion.
 
Amaturrazak, state convener, Jamat-e-Hind, women’s wing, Karnataka, will preside over the programme.
 
Rajayogini Brahma Kumari Usha, convener, city-based Eshwariya University, Professor Vineetha of Roshani Nilaya College of Social Work, and Fathima Mehroon, principal, Hira Women’s College, Permannur, will be the chief guests on the occasion.
 
A skit on female foeticide and a musical show will be held as part of cultural programme.
