Mangalore: Congress Plans to Magnetize Youth

Mangalore, Jan 28: As part of Nation drive in attracting youth to strengthen the party, All India Youth Congress Committee will initiate a membership campaign for youth congress in the city through a convention ‘Bruhath Yuva Jagruthi Samavesha’ at Tokkottu ground on Tuesday February 2. This was annoncued by Arun Coelho, president, D K District Youth Congress Committee at a press conference held in district congress office on Friday January 28. Through this campaign the importance of youth participation in politics will be exposed. On this regard two vehicles will move around the city from district congress office on Jan 30th carrying ‘youth message’ and will reach Tokkottu on the day of convention, he added.
 


All India National Congress president Rajiv Sathwa, secretary Jithendar Singh, KPCC president Dr Parameshwar, opposition party leader Siddaramaiah, former minister Janardhan Pooajry, former KPCC president D K Shivkumar, Abhayachandra Jain, MLA Krishna Bairegowda, former youth congress president Dinesh Gundurao, MLA Ramanath Rai, former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake and all MLA’s of the district and leaders will participate in the campaign.

Former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty, congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, Kallige Tharanath Shetty, P Mohan, Sundar Kambali, Vinay Raj and TK Sudhir were present during the occasion.
