Mangalore: DCC Organizes Health Camp for Women in Bengre

Mangalore, Jan 28: The District Congress Committee (DCC) organized a health check-up camp for women in Kadavinabali, Bengre, on Thursday January 27.

DCC vice-president Ivan D’Souza inaugurated the camp on Thursday morning.



A J Hospital gynaecologist Dr Kavita D’Souza offered information on various gynaecological conditions among economically-weaker women engaged in manual labour and also said that A J Hospital has come forward to offer free treatment to them.

Youth Congress former district president Bondala Jagannat Shetty presided over the programme.

DCC president J Nagendra Kumar, youth Congress president Pravinchandra Alva, local mosque president B Hassan Haji, youth Congress vice-president Bilal Mohideen, minority unit secretary Mohammed Hanif, Kandak ward Congress president Latif Kandak, local Congress leader Sudhir Kadekar, community veterans Nazir Hussein, and Hamza Bengre were present on the occasion.

Two hundred and forty-eight women participated in the health check-up camp.
