Beltangady, Feb 3: “Mankind is superior to all living beings on earth, and eternal bliss is assured for those who worship God with mind, body, and soul,” said Swami Laxmisena Bhattaraka of Narasimharajapura Mutt.
He was speaking during the ‘Padabhishek’ of Bhagwan Bahubali monolithic sculpture at Dharmasthala, near here, on Wednesday February 2.
“The eternal reward is the outcome of puja,” said Swami Laxmisena and advised the devotees to worship God in strong faith, eliminating lust and ignorance.
Swami Lalitakirti Bhattaraka of Karkala Mutt said Padabhishek is more virtuous than the Mahamastakabhishek of Bhagwan Bahubali’s monolithic sculpture which is done once in 12 years.
“The nerve-endings in the feet are centers of energy and prostrating on the feet cleanses one’s sins. Therefore, in the pilgrimage centers, the devotees get blessings by touching the feet of Bhagwan Bahubali’s monolithic sculpture. It also gives an opportunity for the devotee to reform his life,” said Swami Lalitakirti.
Dharmasthala Dharmadikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade and Hemavathi V Heggade performed Padabhishek on the occasion.
New Delhi’s M K Dharmaraj, D Harshendra Kumar, Supriya Harshendra Kumar, and Nischal Kumar were present on the occasion.
