Cairo, Feb 4 (DPA) Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman has said presidential elections would take place by August or September at the latest.
In a state television interview, he said the country's constitution could be rewritten after the election. But articles related to the presidency could be revised beforehand.
He also said his office was seeking dialogue with "all the political spectrum" including the Muslim Brotherhood. Suleiman said he met unspecified members of the country's youth movement.
He said the political unrest began with legitimate demands but then had been taken over by "infiltrators". In that context he also spoke of a "conspiracy".
