He said, "The conference is an annual event and offers excellent opportunities to expand your professional horizons in the field of Lipidology. Various topics of interest and their real-world application in Indian perspective are discussed with international and national faculty based on latest research and practice. Kindly scroll through the topics we have chosen for deliberations in this conference.
"The two days will witness various discussions amongst progressive medical experts on the importance of Lipid and how primary prevention at a young age can actually prevent medical complications in later part of an individual’s lives. Overall, the key message is to encourage a positive and healthy lifestyle in individuals and this also becomes a part of a huge social initiative. With this awareness amongst masses, one will witness a downward curve in the coming years on cardiological issues and through preventive measures the same is possible.
"The Lipid Association of India has been creating this awareness since the last ten years and the endeavour of this association continues to reduce the number of lives being lost due to people not being aware that there is even an issue of Lipid which can be resolved if addressed in time. The young individuals form 74 percent of our population. If through this initiative, once can reduce the cardiovascular burden the quality and longevity of life would move upwards said Dr Sadananda R Shetty.
"LAI is also pleased to announce that it is taking steps to standardize reporting on normal and abnormal lipid values among reputed laboratories in India during this conference to avoid perennial confusion that we all face while treating dyslipidemia.
"This conference will also be attended by prominent international faculty and subsequent to this conference the international conference is scheduled in August," said LAI Advisor Dr Jamshed Dalal and organising secretary Dr Sadananda R Shetty.
