Mangaluru: Govt is effectively managing power supply - V Sunil Kumar

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (DV)

Mangaluru, Apr 22: Minister for Energy V Sunil Kumar on Friday, April 22, that the state government has not stopped the generation of electricity due to scarcity of coal.

"Compared to other states, Karnataka has effectively managed supply of electricity. Everyday 13 to 15 rakes of coal are being supplied to the state. Power is being generated as per the state's demand and added that the opposition and sections of the media are spreading these rumours, which is far from the truth," he said.

Speaking to media persons here, he said, “We had a demand for 16800 MW of power which has been managed efficiently. We had planned for an effective management of the power supply keeping the summer in view. If our demand is less than the production, then we have efficiently managed to supply power equitably to other states, which is in our thinking. We are in touch with the union government, so that there is no scarcity of coal to the state. There is adequate stock of coal for three days," he said.
Sunil Kumar said the PMKUSUM project is the pet programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi under which as many as 2,50,000 lakh farmers will benefit from it. He said 9,060 MW of electricity will be produced through solar.

“We have completed a survey in MESCOM and ChESCOM . Once we get a copy from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), we will start the tendering process. We are preparing to provide sufficient power to farmers during the day,” the minister said.

Let me quote honorable Minister in toto - "We are in touch with the union government, so that there is no scarcity of coal to the state." and also "There is adequate stock of coal for three days"...., these two statements itself is contradictory... to what Sunila is saying...!!!!!, On previous occasion Minister said two coal power plants in our state are stopped. means something is not right (if i am not allowed to use the word "wrong"); I draw attention of all Hindus (REAL & Non-REAL) listen to Kodi Shri Swamiji's foretelling about Hindustan...,
