Mangaluru, May 1: There is a possibility of good rains in the coastal regions of the state on May 1. A yellow alert has been declared by the meteorological department in this connection.
According to the weather forecast, the rain will be accompanied by heavy thunder and lightning. It is also expected that the coastal region will receive moderate rains for three to four days from May 2.

The temperature in Dakshina Kannada district has been rising to unbearable limits. On Saturday, the weather was cloudy with high humidity. According to the meteorological department Mangaluru international airport recorded the highest temperature of 35.2 deg C and minimum temperature of 26 deg C.
