Udupi, May 1: The alleged suicide case of head constable Rajesh Kundar has taken a new twist due with the death note found. In the death note, the deceased has accused an ACP, PSI and two others of abetting his extreme step.
A case was registered in city police station as per the statement given by deceased Rajesh Kunder’s colleague Ganesh. In his statement, Ganesh had claimed that Rajesh Kunder had died because of a sudden misfire from his duty rifle.
After his duty on the fateful night, Ganesh took his bag containing clothes and rifle and went to DAR central area. He kept his bag in the kitbox and deposited his rifle in armour and went to take rest. On April 30, when he reported to duty at 9.30 AM at DAR headquarters, he saw a page of notebook kept in his bag containing a bedsheet and a uniform kept in his kit box. The letter contains signature AH 104 and the deceased has held certain people responsible for his decision to kill himself. Ganesh handed over the death note to his superiors.
Deceased Rajesh was on suspension for over a month and had reported to duty on Thursday, April 28 night. It is said that he was depressed because of his suspension. However, now due to the availability of the death note, it is suspected that some people have abetted his suicide.
In the death note, Rajesh Kunder has accused DAR ACP Umesh, Ashfaque and Gangolli station PSI Nanja Naik and another person of leading him to death.
A case of abettment of suicide is filed against the three accused in city police station. However, the fourth person in the death note, whom the deceased has accused of abetting suicide is not known.
There are also some suspicions surrounding the death note. It has been sent to a graphologist for analysis of the handwriting on it. Only after the report arrives, the reality will be known.
A case under Section 306 RW 34 IPC is registered against three accused in the city police station.
