Kadaba: Illegal slaughterhouse raided, items seized - Verbal duel ensues between cops, locals

Kadaba, May 2: Police raided a house at Timaradda near Kalara of the taluk where cattle was being slaughtered illegally and confiscated the cattle the head of which was cut and the equipment used for the act.

Kadaba sub inspector Anjaneya Reddy and assistant sub inspector Suresh C T with their team raided the house on definite tip off. Accused Farooq and others who were involved in the act absconded.

The police also confiscated other cattle that were tied nearby to be slaughtered. However, locals forcefully snatched two cattle and took with them. The police said that when the locals showed them the documents that the cow belonged to them, they allowed them to take.

The locals and police also had verbal argument on the spot. The police noticed youth from both communities gathering at the house and sent all of them away.

Responding on the incident, Radhakrishna Kolpe, president of Kadaba Prakhanda of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal said, “Cow slaughtering is happening unabated at Kalara and Timaradda of Kadaba. These illegal slaughterhouses which disturb peace in society should be closed down immediately.”

    Government must come out with clear cut policy on slaughter houses... Consumption of meat is a fundamental right of any Indian... Keep official slaughter houses away from general dwellings... Let sacred thoughts not be disturbed... Never prevent meat eaters from their eating habits...

These illegal slaughterhouses which disturb peace in society should be closed down immediately.” Mr. Radha krishna you were aware of this then why you kept quiet for so much time . This month you didn't get your hafta. The police also confiscated other cattle that were tied nearby to be slaughtered. However, locals forcefully snatched two cattle and took with them.
