Puttur: Police raid illegal slaughterhouse, confiscate beef, arrest one

Puttur, May 3: Police arrested one person and confiscated 30 to 40 kg beef from an illegal slaughterhouse near Sattikallubailu of Kedila village in the taluk.

Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) members gave a tip off to the police about the spot where the illegal slaughterhouse was operating.

Accused Sattar, who is alleged to have involved in the illegal slaughtering is arrested by the police.

Puttur city police are investigating further.

    Because of this all nonsense by the government the beef is also sold in black market there by increased thefts of cattle and illegal slaughtering. This is a very lucrative business for the jobless bringing in windfall quickly......can't imagine that these guys transport live cattle in the cars. They should be tied up and dumped in the vehicles and transported same way in some rough terrain to know the pain.

    akrama is possible 2 make sakrama. there4 all illegal slaughter houses must b made legal w/o any hassle-bastle & any hulla-bulla. i appreciate da government 4 dis move. otherwise i will depreciate dis pettha gobernment.

    Beef looks fresh and mouth watering...I think due to less business the poor fellow forgot to pay the commission of khaki...anyway must have balanced by giving the meat itself...this game goes on in DK for several years now..
