PM weak, Can't Speak up Against Corruption: Advani

Kolkata, Feb 15 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Tuesday once again dubbed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as a "weak prime minister" and criticised him for his inability to stand up against corruption charges against the Congress-led central government.

"When I had said during the 2009 Lok Sabha election campaign that I have seen all the prime ministers since Jawaharlal Nehru but I feel pity for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh because I have never seen such a weak prime minister, many people said that I should not say this because many people feel bad about it," said Advani while addressing a mammoth rally in Kolkata.

Earlier during 2009 Lok Sabha elections campaign, Advani as also some other BJP leaders had targeted Manmohan Singh and repeatedly called him the weakest prime minister India has had.

But the strategy backfired as the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) faced lost to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) spearheaded by the Congress, which regained power with a handsome majority.

"At that time (2009) I had said that being a good person is fine. But if a good person is weak and he becomes prime minister then he can never stand up against corruption charges and scams. In last few months, my words have been proved true. The Supreme Court has several times scolded the government," said Advani.

Whether Advani is an appropriate person to make these comments or not is debatable. But his comments are spot on. MMS is like Sachin.

Sachin is a best cricketer but below average captain. Particularly when the selection panel was dictating what he should be doing! Whether another mediocre captain like Gavaskar can critisise Sachin or not was always debatable.

Advaniji ,first sack your Tainted CM of KARNATAKA and then talk about PM or Corruption. You could not be the PM since 10 years as you used this word during Election time saying Dr.Manmohan Singh is a WEAK PM. Why PM should speak against CORRUPTION, when you have your own BJP CM of KARNATAKA full of LAND SCAM. First set your own house in order and then speak about PM. You have no right to speak against our PM. Every INDIAN knows who is CORRUPT and who is not. When your NDA Government was there 7 years ago everyone knows how you ruled. You did not even know your External Minister Jaswant Singh went to KHANDAR to release Hard Core Terrorist. . Your time is over.

Our beloved Prime Minister is the noblest man in the world and leaders of the world respect and acknowledge his dicipline and achievements. Only weak and destructive minds speak ill about the greatest of the great leaders. If a tree not bearing any kind of fruit and not at all useful for any sort whatsoever  it should be cut out and thrown out and new tree which shall bear good fruits shall be planted.
