Fly Air India for Rs.999 on Seven Domestic Routes


Mumbai, Feb 17 (IANS) Air India (AI) Wednesday launched a new scheme enabling passengers to travel on seven domestic sectors one-way for Rs.999, plus fees and taxes.

The special scheme will be valid till April 30 and is applicable on certain AI flights originating from Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Thrivananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode, a spokesperson said here.

These include flights AI-865/AI-600 Mumbai-Hyderabad (Rs.1,328); AI-864/AI-601 Hyderabad-Mumbai (Rs.1,695); AI-631-635 Ahmedabad-Mumbai (Rs.1,349); AI-929 Thrivananthapuram-Kochi (Rs.1,228); AI-923 Thrivananthapuram-Kozhikode (Rs.1,228); AI-917/AI-901/AI-962 Kochi-Kozhikode (Rs.1,220); and AI-918/AI-902/AI-962 Kozhikode-Kochi (Rs.1,228).

While all tickets would attract the applicable service taxes, they will be spared of the fuel surcharge on tickets under this scheme, the company said.

The new scheme comes shortly after AI launched Cricket Mania (Feb-April), Budget Special Super Saver 4 coupon scheme (till end of April), Normal Super Saver & Dash; Executive and Economy classes (4 and 8 coupon schemes in both classes, and Corporate Super Saver 12 coupon scheme, both valid till end of March.
