Bengaluru, May 7: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has asked former Chief Minister and JD(S) Legislature Party leader HD Kumarawamy to furnish evidence on his charges on the corruption charges in PSI scam against the State Government.

``It is the duty and obligation on the part of those levelling allegations to furnish necessary proof and documentary evidence,’’ he said speaking to media representatives near his residence on Saturday.

Bommai said the State Government will investigate the charges based on the evidence provided.

Answering questions on Congress MLA PriyanakKharge’s statement on the series of corruption charges against the State Government, Bommai said Congress party is the fountainhead of corruption and Kharge should know that. ``Let him remember that,’’ he said pointing out that his government need not learn from Kharge.

On the corruption charges against KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar and his brother DK Suresh, who is also Bengaluru Rural MP, the Chief Minister said the government would investigate if the victims and those affected lodge complaints.

Bommai claimed that a pro-BJP wave was sweeping the State and the party is growing in strength in large number of constituencies. He said the party will take appropriate decision after consulting the local leaders if leaders from other parties wish to join BJP.
