Bantwal: Man stabs woman in broad daylight over trivial reason

Bantwal, May 7: A man after an argument with a woman over a trivial reason, stabbed her at Pariadka market, Punacha gram in broad daylight in full public view on Saturday May 7 evening.

Latha, who was critically injured, is a resident of Punacha gram Natekallu Navagrama. She was rushed to the nearby Vittal community health hospital for treatment.

Centring Shekar alias Shekar Poojary is the accused who launched the assault on Latha. He stays near the residence of Latha. After an argument, Shekar who had consumed alcohol assaulted Latha with a sharp weapon on her neck and hands.

Latha was rushed to Vittal government hospital by Friends Vitla ambulance. She was shifted to Puttur private hospital for further treatment later.
