Mangaluru: Guest lecture on intellectual self-defense held at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, May 8: The Department of Physical Education of St Agnes College (Autonomous) organised a Guest lecture on “Intellectual self defense” on May 7.

Reena Ranjith, 3rd Dan Black Belt, karate and self-defense instructor, was the resource person.

Self-defense has become an indispensable\skill in the modern world. The main objective of this guest lecture was to empower students with the art of self-defense and build strength and courage to face challenging situations.

Reena Ranjith explained the importance of self-defense and the need to be very intelligent and cautious in one’s daily life. She demonstrated various self-defense techniques through top karate students from the Institute of Karate and allied Arts. Through a meaningful interaction she clarified various doubts and answered all the queries that audience put forth.

Vasudha, physical education director co-ordinated this event and the students of first year degree were the beneficiaries of this guest lecture.
