Cloudburst kills 3 non-local labourers in J&K's Budgam


Srinagar, May 9 (IANS): Three non-local labourers were killed by a cloudburst on Monday in J&K's Budgam district while over 3 dozen structures were damaged due to a windstorm in other parts of the Kashmir Valley.

Reports here said a cloudburst hit a brick kiln in Chandapora village of Budgam where the three abourers were working.

"They were shifted to district hospital in Budgam town where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

"They have been identified as Saleem Mansoori, 45, Kaiser Mansoori, 20, and Mohammad Rayees 20, all residents of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh.

"Police has taken cognisance of the incident," officials said.

Meanwhile, high speed winds, accompanied with hailstorm, damaged over 3 dozen structures in the Valley.
