Puttur, May 10: A youth who behaved indecently with a girl at the KSRTC bus stand building in the town was taken into custody by the police.
Naufal Saralikatte is the accused who is arrested by the police on Monday May 9.
Naufal is accused of enticing the daughter of a woman of Gadag origin, who works as housekeeping hand in the bus stand, and taking her to the washroom of the bus stand.
The woman came to know about the matter and she inquired the same with the accused. It is alleged that Naufal threatened the woman with dire consequences. She brought the matter to the notice of the police.
Meanwhile, leaders of pro-Hindu groups also gathered at the spot and the accused was taken into custody by the police to prevent any further untoward incident.
